A Holistic Lifestyle nourishes the mind, body and the soul. It allows you to look at the whole picture- the whole person. A Holistic Lifestyle is a way of living. We all want to be healthy and happy. Whilst we are living longer today, most of us deal with high levels of stress and fatigue. When we are healthy, we can live life to the fullest and truly flourish. When it comes to being healthy, I believe we need to focus on prevention first. I think true health comes from the inside out by adopting healthy habits, proper diet, exercise, enjoyable social and family life and a personal spiritual practice. So, to say that holistic health is important would be an understatement.
We all need to take responsibility for our wellbeing. We can’t fully rely on someone else to fix us. Every healing is self-healing. Sometimes we need help and direction to achieve that. Making changes will help to improve our overall health. Nowadays we have so much information on how to create a healthy life; we have resources everywhere. All we must do is simply make some conscious choices and take some positive actions. A healthy mind will create a healthy body, and in a healthy body there will be a happy soul. We can’t separate these three pillars; they are the foundation to our existence.
A holistic lifestyle isn’t one size fits all. To start, you need to have a conscious awareness that you are ready to make some positive changes in your life. Make a commitment to yourself that you are ready and willing to make some changes. Empower yourself by believing nothing can defeat you! If not now, then when? Study yourself, get to know the ‘whole’ of you. Connect with yourself and be your best friend. You are a wonderful human being, and you deserve everything.
